• Gaming Laptops That Will Use Intel's New Processing Power

Intel is bringing its big guns to laptops with a range of new processors introduced today, including its first round of mobile chips to offer six cores and 12 threads to throw at tasks.

We have been hearing of this lineup for a long time now, and the new parts are finally official. All these CPUs are based on the Coffee Lake microarchitecture that was first introduced back in October 2017—this also means that there is no hardware solution for Meltdown and Spectre ) in these CPUs and they will come with a software patch installed. While they're all based on Coffee Lake, all intended for mobile (laptop) devices, and all purportedly very fast.

According to Intel, the specs translate to 29 percent faster performance in everyday tasks compared to its previous generation Core i7-7820HK processor and is 59 percent faster at 4K video editing.

While processors don't matter as much to gaming (outside of VR), a number of OEMs are announcing new laptops today that pair Intel's latest processor with Nvidia graphics cards.

    1. Acer Nitro 5

    Gigabyte
The Acer Nitro 5 ships with the latest 8th Generation Intel Core i7 and Intel Core i7+ processors offering an improved six-core design. It also has its own Intel Optane memory as well. The laptop comes with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics card and 512GB of NVMe PCIe solid-state storage. It features up to 32GB of DDR4 memory. Also, Acer's NitroSense utility monitors the status of the CPU/ GPU and the CoolBoost technology adjusts the fans, the company said in a press release.
The base model of the laptop with Core i5-8300H processor, GeForce GTX 1050 GPU, 8GB RAM, and 1TB HDD has been priced at $749.99 (Rs. 48,800). Meanwhile, for $849.99 (Rs. 55,000), users can upgrade the GPU to a GTX 1050Ti and storage to a 256GB SSD.

    2. Gigabyte Aero 15 / 15X

    Samsung
The more affordable GIGABYTE Aero 15 comes with 15.6-inch FHD LCDs featuring a 144 Hz refresh rate, whereas the top-of-the-range variant is outfitted with a 15.6” UHD panel that covers 100% of the AdobeRGB colour gamut. It's a machine that boasts the latest Intel Core i7-8750H processor with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 and 16GB of DDR4 RAM.
As the name suggests, Gigabyte's Aero 15 is thin and light: the system is 19.24 mm thick and weighs 2.1 kilograms, which is thinner and lower when compared to mainstream 15.6-inch PCs for gaming.

    4. Asus ROG Zephyrus M

It is based on Intel's six-core Core i7-8750H CPU (2.2 GHz base, up to 4.2 GHz turbo) and is accompanied by 16 GB of DDR4-2666 RAM (upgradeable to 32 GB). Meanwhile, along with the keyboard change, the other big difference between the two Zephyrus laptops is on the GPU front: the Zephyrus M starts with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 and a fittingly lower base price, whereas the original Zephyrus only ships in a flagship GTX 1080 configuration.
The thicker and heavier enclosure enabled the manufacturer to equip its ROG Zephyrus M with a rather sophisticated storage sub-system: the new GM501 comes with a 256 GB PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD as well as Seagate's 1 TB FireCuda SSHD.
The model with the GeForce GTX 1060 is priced at $1,899 (Rs. 1,23,000), whereas the one with GeForce GTX 1070 is costing $2,199 (Rs. 1,43,000).
